A step in to the darkness
A name is not just a group of letters. Names keep in them an idea, most of the time, linked to the culture they belong to. As much names hide a secret, the best they invite us to learn the secrets saved in to the culture they are part of. Unbeknownst, is an English word that describes something happened out of our comprehension, it implies also, the absence of mind and body in that happening. The current exhibition reflects, perfectly, this meaning due it`s development requiring the absence of body in it´s realization and facing a totally strange situation.
It`s a totally different exhibition ever done for us. We affirm taking into account it was almost done in the distance by virtual channels, using a multitude of videos and web documents that, if they were compiled, they could be a source of creative and learning investigation, they would be the evidence of creating far away from the present.
In the end of the day, we have this exhibition that is the solo work of all the young creators in an individual and unique experience. An accessible, available, flexible in time showcase. We understand the art exercise has changed, but we don`t take that as a problem, but as an opportunity to expand the art communication fields in our new frontiers, the virtual environment as the human condition about to be observed. In the sacrifice of presence, we increase the scope of our creative process.
This is a distinctive moment to share the experience of this exhibition. This situation reminds Mark Rothko painting. He presents to us a simple sight at first glimpse. A great field of color, the unequivocal invitation to contemplate something out of our common imagery, this has to be done with patience and astonishment. This art piece transmits the opportunity to share what we have done: the Unbeknownst.
